Albert Adrià Acosta
Albert Adrià Acosta (L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, 20 October 1969) is a Catalan chef, pastry chef and businessman. He is considered one of the most influential people in the world of gastronomy and, together with his restaurants, has received the most prestigious awards and distinctions in this cultural discipline.
In 2013 he was recognised as one of the 13 most influential people in the world in gastronomy and food, and in 2015 he received the award for best pastry chef from The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
He was part of elBulli between 1985 and 2008. In 2006 he opened Inopia Classic Bar in Barcelona, a promoter of prêt à porter haute cuisine and a pioneer of the ‘gastrobar’ concept. Between 2011 and 2017 he opened a total of 7 restaurants (41º Experience, Tickets, Pakta, Bodega 1900, Niño Viejo, Hoja Santa and Enigma) within the global project that brings together different gastronomic concepts under the name elBarri. In 2015 he signed a creative alliance with Ferran Adrià and Le Cirque du Soleil for the Heart Ibiza project. In 2018 he opened Cakes & Bubbles London, a sweet restaurant specializing in pastries and sparkling wines.
